Meet with Kenji Miura: guardian of the memory of cherry trees

I have met Kenji Miura in Tanino's washi workshop, at Ogawa city in the countryside of Saitama Prefecture. He accompanied the American publisher Kim Schuefftan, who is gathering information about this factory for the next issue of Ikebana International Magazine. He spontaneously showed me his artworks on his smartphone: black and white photographs printed on washi. This is so unique. And I see today the same reaction among art lovers when I show his work.

I've offered him to become his agent abroad. Enthusiastic, he gave me his business card, and three days later, there he is in my small apartment in Saitama to show me his artworks under the windows' light...
